Operation THREE (V)
“Three miles at a time, until you can’t.”
Overview
The second step in the Green Beret Fitness Number Series.
Operation THREE (V) is simple in design and savage in execution. Every three miles, the pack gets heavier. The clock keeps ticking. You keep going until the weight finally stops you.
Most candidates will fail. A few will push through. Only the strongest will carry it far enough to start building toward the Skull & Dagger.
The Challenge
Complete consecutive 3-mile blocks, adding weight after each block until failure.
Each block must be completed within 1 hour, and every new block begins on the hour.
If you finish early, the remaining time is your rest before the next block begins.
Four Tiers
CSS (Combat Service Support): Start with no weight. Add 10 lbs after each 3-mile block
CS (Combat Support): Start with 10 lbs. Add 10 lbs after each 3-mile block
Combat: Start with 20 lbs. Add 10 lbs after each 3-mile block
Commando: Start with 30 lbs. Add 10 lbs after each 3-mile block
The challenge ends the moment you fail to complete the next 3-mile block inside the hour.
How to Earn It
Complete a minimum of 12 miles (4 hours).
Record your ruck with GPS tracking (Strava, Garmin, Coros, etc.) showing mileage and pace.
Post a photo or short video clip at the start of each block showing the weight you are carrying.

Eligibility to pursue the Skull & Dagger patch, awarded only to candidates who complete all six Number Series challenges at the Commando tier.
⚔️ Special Reward
The first 100 candidates to complete and verify all six challenges at Commando level will receive the Skull & Dagger patch free of charge.
The Fine Print
All four tiers earn the Operation THREE (V) patch.
When you complete each challenge, write on the patch what tier you achieved: CSS, CS, Combat, or Commando. As your fitness improves you can either cross it out and update it, or purchase a new patch to mark your progress.
Only Commando finishers across all six challenges qualify for Skull & Dagger eligibility.
Attempt as many times as you need. Only successful, verified completions count.
Train smart. Hydrate. Know your limits. This challenge is on you.
