Operation SIX (V)
“Six miles. Six minutes. Six reps.”
Overview
The third step in the Green Beret Fitness Number Series.
Operation SIX (V) is where discipline and endurance collide. Six miles under load, broken every six minutes by a set of six reps. The clock keeps running, the weight never leaves your side, and your body is forced to work under pressure from start to finish.
This challenge is not about speed alone. It is about rhythm, control, and refusing to quit when fatigue sets in.
The Challenge
Ruck 6 miles with your assigned pack weight. Every 6 minutes, stop and complete 6 reps of each exercise:
Thrusters
Sit-ups
Push-ups
The six-minute cycle never stops until you finish all 6 miles. You do the reps at 6, 12, 18, 24, etc., minutes.
Four Tiers
CSS (Combat Service Support): 10 lb ruck. Ruck in hands for thrusters. Bodyweight sit-ups and push-ups.
CS (Combat Support): 20 lb ruck. Ruck in hands for thrusters. Bodyweight sit-ups and push-ups.
Combat: 30 lb ruck. Ruck in hands for thrusters. Bodyweight sit-ups and push-ups.
Commando: 36 lb ruck. Ruck in hands for thrusters. Bodyweight sit-ups. Ruck on back for push-ups.
How to Earn It
Record your ruck with GPS tracking (Strava, Garmin, Coros, etc.) showing 6 miles total.
Post a photo or short video clip of at least one exercise set for verification.
Tag @green_beret_fitness so it can be verified.
⚠️ Important: If your account is private, GBF cannot see or verify your attempt. Only public tags will be recognized.

A sense of achievement that only comes from completing one of the most disciplined challenges in the series.
Eligibility to pursue the Skull & Dagger patch, awarded only to candidates who complete all six Number Series challenges at the Commando tier.
⚔️ Special Reward
The first 100 candidates to complete and verify all six challenges at Commando level will receive the Skull & Dagger patch free of charge.
The Fine Print
All four tiers earn the Operation SIX (V) patch.
When you complete each challenge, write on the patch what tier you achieved: CSS, CS, Combat, or Commando. As your fitness improves you can either cross it out and update it, or purchase a new patch to mark your progress.
Only Commando finishers across all six challenges qualify for Skull & Dagger eligibility.
Attempt as many times as you need. Only successful, verified completions count.
Train smart. Hydrate. Know your limits. This challenge is on you.
