Operation MILE (V)
“One mile. One chance. One standard.”
Overview
The Green Beret Fitness Number Series begins here.
One mile. Burpees every minute. The reps climb, the mile drags on, and most will quit before the end. Those who finish walk away with more than a patch — they know they stood firm when others broke.
This is your first step toward the rarest prize in GBF: the Skull & Dagger.
The Challenge
Complete 1 mile while performing burpees every minute on the minute:
Minute 1: 1 burpee
Minute 2: 2 burpees
Minute 3: 3 burpees
Continue until the full mile is complete.
The clock never stops. Your pace, lungs, and discipline decide if you finish.
Four Tiers
CSS (Combat Service Support): Increasing burpees, no ruck
CS (Combat Support): Increasing burpees, 10 lb ruck (ruck removed for burpees)
Combat: Increasing burpees, 20 lb ruck (ruck removed for burpees)
Commando: Increasing burpees, 30 lb ruck (ruck removed for burpees)
How to Earn It
Record your effort with GPS tracking (Strava, Garmin, Coros, etc.) showing 1 mile total.
Post a photo or short video clip of your attempt on Instagram.
Tag @green_beret_fitness so it can be verified.
⚠️ Important: If your account is private, GBF cannot see or verify your attempt. Only public tags will be recognized.
What You Get
The official Operation MILE (V) patch (available for purchase regardless of tier).
A shout-out on the Green Beret Fitness Instagram page if you tag us and your profile is public.
An incredible sense of achievement that will outlast the patch itself.
Eligibility to pursue the Skull & Dagger patch, awarded only to candidates who complete all six Number Series challenges at the Commando tier.
⚔️ Special Reward
The first 100 candidates to complete and verify all six challenges at Commando level will receive the Skull & Dagger patch free of charge.
The Fine Print
All four tiers earn the Operation MILE (V) patch.
When you complete each challenge, write on the patch what tier you achieved: CSS, CS, Combat, or Commando. As your fitness improves you can either cross it out and update it, or purchase a new patch to mark your progress.
Only Commando finishers across all six challenges qualify for Skull & Dagger eligibility.
Attempt as many times as you need. Only successful, verified completions count.
Train smart. Hydrate. Know your limits. This challenge is on you.
