The Boy Who Inspired THEO
Theo was born on March 22, 2015. At just five months old, he was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive childhood cancer, Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma.
Over the following fourteen months, Theo endured countless rounds of treatment and spent much of his young life in children's hospitals. Through it all, he remained a bright light, learning to walk in hospital hallways and forming bonds with patients, families, and staff.
Theo passed away at 19 months old, in his parents' arms and surrounded by his family.
THEO exists to keep his name and legacy alive by bringing people together and doing something positive for children and families going through incredibly difficult times.
Situation
THEO events are simple, community-focused events led by local GBF ambassadors.
For THEO Washington, we will meet at Dickman Mill Park before walking or rucking to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital with donated gifts and supplies, then return to the park together.
There is no required weight, no competition, and no need to be an experienced rucker or athlete.
Everyone is welcome.
Mission
Walk or ruck from Dickman Mill Park to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and back while helping collect gifts and supplies for young patients.
No required weight.
No minimum pace.
No competition.
